Dr. Macchiavelli is a well-versed hospitalist who is affiliated with AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Campus in New Jersey. A disabled American veteran, Dr. Macchiavelli learned to navigate the VA system after a serious injury ended his military career in 1985 — just two years after he graduated from West Point. The VA’s vocational rehabilitation program sent him to medical school, where he graduated with his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 1996. He then went on to complete his internship and residency at Graduate Hospital.
A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Fellow in Hospital Medicine (FHM), the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
