Back in 1985, she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the Metropolitan Hospital in 1990, and her fellowship in sports medicine at Michigan State University in 1996.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (FAOAO), the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
