Specializing in the treatment of neck and low back injuries, Dr. Huckell has a keen interest in adult and pediatric spinal deformities such as scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis, and other congenital disorders. His clinical focus extends to cervical spine disorders, cervical and lumbar disc herniations, spinal fractures, tumors, and minimally invasive spinal surgery techniques, ensuring comprehensive care for his patients.

A 1985 graduate of McGill University – Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Huckell completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and an advanced spinal training fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he later served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. In addition, he served as Director of Orthopedic Residency for two of those years. 

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Huckell is actively involved in various professional societies, including the North American Spine Society, the Scoliosis Research Society, the Cervical Spine Research Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Association. He has delivered lectures for the AO Spine Foundation and presented at national and international conferences, including an esteemed speaking engagement at Yale University.
