Yes, most women are a candidate for uterine fibroid embolization. It is an affective minimally invasive procedure for treatment of fibroids. What can I do to make my son comfortable with this CT scan?
CTScanner has the relatively open gantry as compared to an MRI. It takes literally one minute or less for the entire scan to be done. Most people have no issues with a feeling of tight Spaces. Normally no sedation is required. Talk to your son before the exam, he’ll do just fine. READ MORE
Should a radiologist inform the patient about the test results?
Radiologists interprets the study that your physician has ordered. It may be only a part of the work up that you are going through. You must see the physician who has ordered the radiological studies as a part of your ongoing treatment and work up. Remember that radiologist is not your treating physician, he is merely gives an opinion on the study performed at that moment in time. READ MORE
