Get to know Internist Dr. Kavitha Lingineni, who serves the population of New Jersey. Dr. Lingineni graduated with his Medical Degree from Siddhartha Medical College in India in 1991, giving her over two decades of experience in her field. After obtaining her Medical degree she relocated to the United States and completed her residency with St Joseph Hospital. Wanting to further her training she completed her Gastroenterology Fellowship with the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Lingineni is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She currently practices with the New Jersey Veterans’ Affair Health Care System. Internal Medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Internists are skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes. They care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients and may play a major role in education and research.
