A seasoned anesthesiologist, Dr. Kabemba is the Medical Director at ANR Clinic in Tampa, Florida. His distinguished career includes serving as the Chief of Anesthesiology at one of the largest hospitals in Southwest Florida, where he garnered extensive practical knowledge and leadership experience. He currently plays an active role on multiple committees, including the Critical Care Committee and the OR Steering Committee, and he is a member of the Board of Governors at Bayfront Health ASC. His commitment to addressing opioid dependency issues reflects his dedication to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, he completed his General Surgery residency at Columbus Hospital, followed by a four-year General Anesthesia residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a two-year fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of South Florida, where he was honored as the inaugural “Best Fellow.” He graduated with distinction from Ross School of Medicine and earned his undergraduate degree from Williams College. Dr. Kabemba is board certified in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Prior to joining ANR Clinic, Dr. Kabemba held the position of Regional Medical Director at Envision Healthcare and worked as a Staff Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at Tampa General Hospital. His leadership was recognized at the West Palm Beach Veteran Affairs Medical Center, where he was awarded the Veterans Administration Seamless Transition Team Award in 2005. Dr. Kabemba was also named a “Best Doctor” by Best Doctors, Inc. from 2010 to 2012, a testament to his exceptional skill and dedication in the field.

In addition to his clinical roles, he is passionate about addressing opioid dependency and has dedicated substantial time to volunteering both nationally and globally, providing essential medical education and public health services in underserved communities. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Kabemba resides in Tampa with his wife, Julie Ann Gibson, and their son, Uriah Joseph Kabemba. His unwavering commitment to patient care and medical education positions him as a vital asset to the ANR Clinic and the broader Tampa community.
