Upon receiving her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from New York University in 1990, Dr. Branca went on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1994. Before long, she became board-certified by the American Board of Wound Management, which is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization established for the purpose of credentialing inter-disciplinary practitioners in the field of wound management.

Demonstrating her commitment to the field of podiatry, she remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
