I saw this provider once and would never return. He focused on my childhood as a way to explain my depression (for the record, I had a good childhood, free from abuse/neglect/trauma). He asked if my parents were overly strict or religious (neither). Despite telling him that I had an excellent support system, he suggested that because I wasn't married or seriously dating anyone, I lacked a "meaningful" relationship in my life. Horrible experience. Be your own best advocate and look elsewhere.
