Get to know General and Vascular Surgeon Dr. William Lois, who serves the New York City area at his private clinic and hospitals throughout the region. Dr. Lois attended medical school at the Universidao de Navarra and continued his studies with a residency in surgery at the Brooklyn Jewish Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has over twenty years of experience in the field of surgery. Currently, Dr. Lois owns and operates his own clinic and has privileges at many New York City area hospitals, including Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. Prior to his time with Kingsbrook Jewish, he worked as the Assistant Director of Surgery Interfaith Medical Center. In addition to his clinical expertise, he teaches students at SUNY Downstate as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Although Dr. Lois’ main expertise is in general surgery, he is also affiliated with Vascular surgery, a specialty associated with blood, blood disorders, and the circulatory system. Dr. Lois has participated in many different research opportunities and has published his findings in a medical journal titled Case Reports in Infectious Diseases.
