Dr. Aristimuño is a board-certified emergency medicine physician, who is currently serving patients at Sarasota Medical Center in Sarasota, Florida. Sarasota Medical Center has cared for patients for over 20 years. The board-certified emergency and primary care physicians working there have the experience necessary to assist patients with all of their health care needs. From chest pain to rashes, hypertension to a strep throat, laceration repair to high cholesterol, they provide the most comprehensive, efficient, and convenient quality medical care in the area.

After moving to the United States from Caracas, Venezuela when he was a young teen, Dr.  Aristimuño went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from George Washington University in 1988. He continued his medical education at the George Washington University School of Medicine, where he graduated with his Medical Degree in 1992. He then went on to complete his residency at the University of Maryland in the Department of Internal Medicine and continued on with a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center at Jacksonville. 

In 1996, he set his roots in Sarasota, working in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Doctor’s Hospital. In 2000, he began working in the ER at Fawcett Memorial Hospital and then added coverage in the ER at Englewood Community Hospital in 2007. 

In 2009, Dr. Aristimuño and Dr. Mason purchased the Sarasota Medical Center, where today they both give the residents and guests of the Sarasota area quality, efficient, and comprehensive health care.

Emergency medicine is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. Emergency physicians care for unscheduled and undifferentiated patients of all ages. An emergency physician, like Dr. Aristimuño, is a physician who works at an emergency department to care for ill patients. They specialize in advanced cardiac life support, resuscitation, trauma care, such as fractures and soft tissue injuries, and management of other life-threatening situations.
