Dr. Diane M Moran PHD
Psychologist
4833 Darrow Rd. 100 Stow OH, 44224About
Dr. Diane Moran is a psychologist practicing in STOW, OH. I am a Ph.D. trained Clinical Psychologist who has worked in a private practice setting for over 30 years. I treat adults, ages 18+, offering both individual and couples’ psychotherapy. My primary education and treatment orientation is in various cognitive-behavioral psychotherapies; however, my work is also informed by humanistic, feminist, spiritual, and psychodynamic perspectives. I offer some evening appointments but am generally much easier to schedule with if you have the flexibility of doing daytime appointments. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. The beginning of treatment includes some brief paperwork completed prior to the initial session where we will then discuss what brings you to treatment as well as starting a complete life history that helps me to understand your concerns within the context of your "story". At the end of a first session, I often tell clients that I have just begun to get “the tip of the iceberg". Following that session, I will ask you to define your treatment goals for discussion at our next session. Your goals are the blueprint for the work we do together and will, in part, determine the length of treatment. While I treat most issues clients bring to treatment (except for primary alcohol/substance abuse issues), I am particularly experienced in the treatment of various anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and mood disorders including depression and bipolar-spectrum disorders. I have also worked extensively addressing concerns that are unique to women and to individuals from the LGBTQ community. I view treatment as a collaborative experience in which my role is to provide education, guidance, challenges, reflection, and strategies to help you achieve your goals.
