A caring and gentle internist, Dr. Wenderoth is passionate about motivating and engaging physicians to deliver high value, patient-centered care. She is an attending at Reading Hospital Internal Medicine Practice in West Reading, Pennsylvania. 

With a unique combination of strengths resulting from more than 20 years of experience as a practicing physician and healthcare executive, Dr. Wenderoth has been serving as Executive Vice President, CEO Physician Enterprise, and Interim Chief Medical Officer for the seven-hospital system since 2021. 

In addition to leading quality and safety initiatives for the system, she has the primary responsibility for the comprehensive alignment of all physicians and providers who practice at Tower Health – both employed and independent community-based clinicians – including the Tower Health Medical Group, Tower Health Providers, facility Chief Medical Officers, and others.

Weill Medical College of Cornell University; and Director, Quality & Patient Safety – Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Practice.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Wenderoth graduated with her medical degree from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 1997. She then went on to perform her residency in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Subsequent to her training, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Dr. Wenderoth is also a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership and the American Medical Group Association.
