Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Ernest Mark Waterman, who serves patients in Upland, California.

A distinguished professional in his field, Dr. Waterman has owned and operated Claremont Chiropractic since 1989, dedicating more than 30 years of his professional career in providing patients with a very broad and non-invasive approach of healing for their ailments. His years of experience and keen understanding of chiropractic therapy render him the best in his practice.

Throughout the years, he has helped thousands of families start feeling better immediately after undergoing treatment for low back pain, neck pain, headaches, dizziness, migraines, allergies and carpal tunnel. He is also trained in auto injuries, sports injuries, and especially golf injuries and fitness. His knowledge in other areas of wellness also includes spinal decompression, detoxification, life extension, wellness, oriental theory, homeopathy,  and weight loss.

A 1983 graduate of New College of California, Dr. Waterman earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Southern California University of Health Sciences in 1987. He has also been affiliated with the United States Navy, going through US Navy Basic Propulsion & Engineering School, US Navy Machinist Mate A School, US Navy Nuclear Power School, and US Navy Damage Control School.

Throughout his years of education, he has received certifications in traumatic brain injury analysis, advanced personal injury management, biomechanical analysis & trauma, AMA disability & impairment rating, golf injury and fitness, golf swing speed training, clinical nutrition, and more.

On a professional level, Dr. Waterman is an active member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce, and the California Chiropractic Association. He also serves as Associate Faculty for the Southern California University of Health Sciences, and has organized a team of doctors to treat PGA, Buy.com and Nationwide Tour players, for which he received The Robert B. Botterman Award by the California Chiropractic Association in 2004.

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
