A passionate dermatologist, Dr. Fridlington provides care for generations of families from the eldest to the youngest at Alamo Heights Dermatology. She specializes in adult and pediatric medical dermatology, skin cancer prevention and treatment, and cosmetic dermatology.

Prior to relocating to San Antonio and joining Alamo Heights Dermatology, she practiced at an academic setting at the University of Iowa for several years.

Alamo Heights Dermatology is a comprehensive dermatology center covering the full array of topics associated with dermatology and dermatological diagnoses and treatments, including microneedling, ultherapy, hair loss, laser hair removal, PRP therapy, chemical peels, acne treatment, mole removal, psoriasis treatment, and much more. The physicians and staff will make sure that patients’ general pain is relieved, and that their health improves.

A native Iowan, Dr. Fridlington received a Bachelor of Science degree from Truman State University where she graduated summa cum laude. Following college, she attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where she graduated with honors. After an internship in internal medicine at University of Texas Medical Branch in Austin at Brackenridge Hospital, she received dermatology specialty training at the University of Iowa.

With a deep love for her patients and the field of dermatology, she is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.

Professionally, Dr. Fridlington is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the San Antonio Dermatologic Society, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Bexar County Medical Society.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, the largest organ of the body; a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin.
