Dr. Alex Tatevian DAOM, FACSc is a highly trained and qualified Acupuncturist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Alex Tatevian has been in practice for more than 35 years and is currently serving patients within his own practice, ACU WELL Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, located in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is a NCCAOM Board Certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Alex Tatevian gained his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1978 from the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University(RNRMU) in Moscow, Russia. In 1982, he completed further training and obtained his Doctor of Acupuncture Degree from the Institute for Advanced Postgraduate Medical Education, also in Moscow. He has served as a physician for the Russian National Olympic Teams, and scientific Antarctic Expeditions. He practiced acupuncture in medical setting at North Main Primary Care Inc. in Providence, and became the first acupuncturist on staff at the Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, with clinical privileges and full appointment granted. Dr. Tatevian is renowned for his expertise in integrative medicine, combining acupuncture, manual therapy and state of the art treatments including laser acupuncture. He has conducted extensive research on the effectiveness of alternative medical therapies, herbology formulations, and laser in conjunction with acupuncture medicine. He was a principal researcher conducting a clinical crossover trial at the Women's Oncology Program. Dr. Tatevian has created and maintained the highly acclaimed educational acupuncture website www.DoctorGetWell.org since 2001 Alex Tatevian DA, MD, FACSc is a Fellow of the Association of Clinical Scientists (FACSc). Dr. Tatevian is President and the Founder of the Foundation for Research in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine (F.R.A.I.M.), credited for methodical and systemic work on refining definition of acupuncture. He has served as President of the Rhode Island Society of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Tatevian attributes his success to making patients healthier, holding patient’s interest as highest priority and delivering clinical results.
