Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Dustin G. Moore, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Moore sees patients at Legacy Bone & Joint Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, with offices in Dripping Springs and Bee Cave, Texas.

The family of board-certified orthopedic surgeons at Legacy Bone & Joint Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is dedicated to getting patients back to the healthy lifestyle they deserve. They offer advanced surgical and non-surgical treatment for their orthopedic needs. Their team uses a compassionate approach to individualized care, taking the time to educate and guide patients through the entire process-from diagnosis to recovery- to return them to a pain-free life.

Born in El Paso, Texas where his parents were completing their medical training, Dr. Moore moved to Austin at a young age where he grew up in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. After attending high school at St. Michael's Academy, he left Texas for a while to complete his undergraduate degree at Boston College. He lived in New England for four years studying communications and working as a part time real estate agent. 

Enjoying the rich cultures of America’s roots, he got back to Texas as soon as he could to attend medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. There, he met the love of his life, Trina. Together, they moved to Lubbock where he attended his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. They welcomed their daughter, Blakely, just before they moved back to Austin to be close to his family and join in practice with his brother and father.

An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

On a more personal note, Dr. Moore has one older brother and two younger brothers, two of which are also orthopedic surgeons. He is in practice with his father, older brother and his wife helps to run the practice. He and his family have a passion for travel and adventure, and have been all over the world together, including Thailand, Germany, Turkey, Greece, Italy and Mexico. They share these adventures with their daughter.
