About

Jia Kang is an acupuncturist and practicing in New York, NY.  Dr. Kang evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of Oriental Medicine.

The acupuncturists treat patients in such a way to complete their evaluations by obtaining a patient’s health history and by applying particular skills such as looking, touching and  listening,  etc.   Then they place very fine acupuncture needles (thin like a hair) into specific points on the body.

Stimulating these points along the Meridians is how Dr. Kang treats her patients’ condition.  Many of the body’s systems, including blood system, neurotransmitters, endorphines, etc. respond to the acupuncture, and it can treat physical pain, internal medical issues, as well as emotional stress.

Dr. Kang's specialties are infertility (women’s side), for which she has brought forth 13 “acupuncture babies,” auto-immune system disease, and other simple health issues in her 15 years practice.  She was a physician/internist in China for 15 years as well.  She has a total of 30 years of practice experience.

My health has improved immensely through the treatments I have been given by Dr Kang. She has managed to keep my blood sugar issues close to normal without medicine and not only through her acupuncture, but through her expertise in diet and exercise. Her knowledge and experience of internal medicine, coupled with Eastern medicine is a rare and vital part of her specialty. She can definitely help you on the road to better health! Tip: See her before going to your Western doctor.
