Dr. Santiago is an experienced chiropractor who delivers holistic chiropractic care with physiotherapy, acupuncture, dry needling, and nutrition for internal disorders and weight reduction. She provides conservative, gentle care to her patients from newborn to geriatrics at Avon Chiropractic Health Center in Avon, Connecticut. 

Working alongside her daughter, Dr. Joelle Santiago, the mother-daughter duo at Avon Chiropractic Health Center work with patients of all ages, ranging from prenatal care to infants, children, and teens to middle-aged adults and senior citizens. They utilize state-of-the-art equipment and various treatment therapies to provide appropriate care to each and every patient, with a goal to help them live a healthy and active life. Above all, they are incredibly passionate about empowering each patient with the knowledge and resources to take control of their health and wellness, guiding their practice by the following words: “Wellness—Your Goal, Our Mission.”

Academically, Dr. Santiago received a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Rutgers University, a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nutrition from Bridgeport University, and a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the Columbia Institute of Chiropractic, now called New York Chiropractic College. She came to Avon in 1984 after practicing chiropractic in New Jersey for ten years with her parents and two brothers, also chiropractic physicians. 

Active in chiropractic education, she has served on the New York Chiropractic College Board of Trustees. In addition, she has served as an Examiner for the National Chiropractic Licensing Board, and as the President & Foundation Chair of the Rotary of Avon-Canton.

A Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists, Dr. Santiago now serves on many committees. She is the President of the North East Chiropractic Council, a Fellow of the American College of Chiropractors, as well as remains active in the Connecticut Chiropractic Association, having served on many levels on the Board and as President. 

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. Chiropractic internists are doctors with the tools and training to diagnose a wide spectrum of conditions along with education to use natural treatment options.
