Idaho Falls Oral & Facial Surgery is the sole practice of Gregory McGee, DMD, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Established in 1998 by Dr. Riley Hicks, the clinic has a long-standing reputation for excellence in oral surgery, and Dr. McGee’s leadership promises to continue the same high standard of care.
Dr. McGee and his highly trained staff are committed to providing the highest quality dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, and a comprehensive range of oral surgery procedures to the residents of Idaho Falls. The practice offers services that include dental implant placement, wisdom teeth extraction, bone grafting, and various treatments aimed at preserving patients’ beautiful smiles. Utilizing cutting-edge research and advanced tools, including the innovative X-Guide technology, Dr. McGee ensures that each patient’s experience is comfortable and stress-free, resulting in improved surgical outcomes.
Born and raised on a cattle ranch in Northern New Mexico, Dr. McGee embodies the values of simplicity and community. He has a genuine passion for oral surgery, which he pursues with enthusiasm in the Idaho Falls area. “I believe that kindness and understanding are essential in providing the best care for my patients,” Dr. McGee shares. “I am excited to work alongside my team to continue the legacy of quality care that Dr. Hicks established.”
Dr. McGee’s impressive educational background began with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Brigham Young University in 1999. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry, graduating in 2002. Following dental school, Dr. McGee completed his oral and maxillofacial surgical residency at Denver Health Medical Center, where he gained extensive training in anesthesia administration and a variety of oral surgery procedures. After finishing his residency in 2006, he practiced at Rio Grande Oral Surgery in New Mexico until early 2019, when he relocated his family to Idaho.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2008, Dr. McGee places a strong emphasis on continuous education and staying updated with the latest advancements in oral surgery. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Idaho Falls Spear Study Club, the Upper Snake River Dental Society, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Outside the practice, Dr. McGee enjoys spending time with his wife and their four sons. He is passionate about outdoor activities such as off-roading, hiking, fishing, and skiing. He was a scoutmaster until 2018 and was a coach for GridKid in Idaho Falls. His dedication to his family and community mirrors his commitment to his patients.
