Dr. Richard C. Ancona is an established Pediatrician who continues to provide exceptional care and support to his patients within Branch Pediatrics in Smithtown, New York. He is also affiliated with Stony Brook University Hospital and St. Catherine Hospital. Featuring over four decades of experience in his field, he is noted as a specialist in pediatric hematology and oncology. Dr. Ancona’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1975, when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Bonn Faculty of Medicine in Germany. Upon relocating to the United States, he undertook his internship, residency, and fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Ancona is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and remains committed to enhancing his patients’ quality of life. To stay current in his field, he is a professional member of the Suffolk Pediatric Society, the Suffolk County Medical Society, and the Suffolk Academy of Medicine. Dr. Ancona shares his wealth of experience and expertise as an Adjunct Professor at Touro College and Hofstra University. When he is not working, he likes to relax with skiing and boating.
