Autism Spectrum Disorder

I am the mother of Donny, mr. and suffers severe autism. He has been living at home with me and his dad for the past 15 years. Prior to that he spent 15 years in a group home. The group home situation did not work well for Donny as he is non verbal and was suffering abuse in the group home.

He is happy at home, well cared for and loves home cooking and a backyard campfire when the weather permits. He enjoys walks and jumping on his mini trampoline every day.

He suffers seizures and is on medication for them. He is also taking Prozac which helps him be less self abusive and more pleasant to be around.

We have traveled and lived overseas and had Donny in schools in Japan and Germany.

We have a waiver program in place here in the US and have five different people hired to help care for him every day.

He has three younger siblings, all healthy and living on their own.

It is the answer to my prayers.....having him living at home with help caring for him.
