Breast Cancer

I am a 68-year-old woman and my breast cancer was discover during a routine mammogram. Since my mother died of Metastatic breast carcinoma I decided that I should have my mammogram regularly. I also had been treated for endometrial and renal cancer 2 years earlier. So I had a diagnostic mammogram followed by an ultrasound of my left breast. Then I had a biopsy that was positive. I had a lumpectomy and 2 sentinel lymph nodes removed. I then had 20 radiation treatments to my left breast just in case there were any cancerous cells floating around. I then started taking Letrozole to block estrogen and prevent recurrence or metastatic breast cancer. It's been almost 2 years since I was diagnosed and 4 years since I was diagnosed with endometrial and kidney cancer. I get major hot flashes and constipation from the Letrozole but it's way better than cancer.
