Could my medical problems be due to my past hysterectomy?
You need a highly regarded general internal medicine doctor and maybe a cardiologist. While the osteoporosis is concerning (and I hope getting treated), the TIAs are a red flag. Go to the American College of Physicians website and look for doctors in your area who have "FACP" after their names. Another way to find one would be to go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital (8-10 a.m. is a good time) and ask if the charge nurse will recommend one. READ MORE
What is the fastest way to fix seasonal allergies?
I assume you mean allergic rhinitis, or hay fever. There should be some kid-safe antihistamines of the non-drowsy variety like Allegra, Zyrtec etc., and you can call the pediatrician to ask if it's OK to use Flonase spray (nonprescription). Those will take care of 95%, and if she needs desensitization or something you will need an allergist. READ MORE
GERD/cancer?
Your pain does sound kind of musculoskeletal, but if the GERD really has you worried I would listen to yourself and see a gastroenterologist, who can run a scope to where the problem is. But be sure to also see a generalist in case it's something else. I have been practicing medicine long enough to have had several patients convinced that they had a certain problem who turned out to be very right even though their symptoms weren't typical. Can adult tonsillectomy be done with local anesthesia?
I understand not wanting to be put to sleep, but what they can do instead is a brief infusion of a medicine that will make you sleep through the (very short) procedure. Ask the surgeon, and you will have a chance to speak briefly with the anesthesia people; I am sure there is flexibility. READ MORE
