All ear drops are not the same. Some are for infection but others are for inflammation like dermatitis. It is important to know what condition is being treated. Also an infection may be bacterial or fungal and the treatment would be different.
If the infection is in the ear canal, absolutely. If it is behind the ear drum, not really.
