To treat swollen gums from dentures, you can try rinsing with warm saltwater, applying a cold compress to the affected area, practicing good oral hygiene, and using over-the-counter oral gels or rinses. If the swelling persists, it's best to consult your dentist for further evaluation and treatment options. Thank you for your question and take care.
One way is to get rid of the denture all together.

You could get implants and a fixed bridge instead.

Thank you for your question.
There can be several reasons for gum swelling or pain when patient have dentures. If the dentures have been just delivered as a new treatment, there will be a period of the oral soft tissues adjustment to the foreign body of the denture. Patience, perseverance and trips to the dental office for removing the uncomfortable spots on the denture's body are necessary. Allergy to the material of the denture is possible and can cause swelling. Your dentist should properly diagnose the reason of the swelling and treat it accordingly. Make sure you clean the denture and your mouth after each meal.
The dentures would have to be adjusted and rinsed with lukewarm salt water a couple of times a day.
