“Was this the correct treatment?”
My pregnant friend in a small Pakistan village was given Haemaccel Polygeline for what presents as anemia. However, no blood tests were done before or after this. I am worried that this was not the correct treatment, and what effect this would have on the baby (5 months, second trimester). The reason for the worry is that it was done by their unqualified midwife, who also doubles as a doctor! Please advise.

She will benefit by taking simple iron tablets twice a day with any fruit juice iron table is extremely cheap & is widely available all over world It is difficult to get physician in rural Pakistan.
