Activators is most commonly used tool which is the one we use in my practice
Activator, or Impulse.
I think you may be referring to an adjusting tool called an activator. It’s a low force adjusting technique. If you are referring to a massage tool, there is a popular percussion device called a theragun.
It is called an Activator.
There are various instruments that chiropractors use for adjustments. Activators, Integrators, Arthrostim, etc. They all assist in adjusting and have their individual benefits!
I’m not sure if you mean an activator or a theragun. Just Google them and you’ll see which one you were thinking of.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'gun'. There are a number of adjusting instruments that chiropractors use. One is called Activator, another is an Impulse instrument. There is another one that I don't know the name of, chiropractors that do upper cervical (upper neck ) adjustments, use on their patients lying on their side. I hope that helps.
The "gun", as you call it, is an adjusting instrument that can be used to adjust the vertebrae of the spine. There are a variety of instruments: some are handheld while others are on a stand. The object is to move the vertebrae to help the body function better, as is adjusting by hand. The instruments are adjustable to match the patient, just as adjusting by hand requires a trained individual. Some people do not like to have their neck "twisted" as some call it, and in those situations, the instrument can be used without the "twisting" movement. Some chiropractors use only their hands or only instruments while others use both. The most important thing is to find a Chiropractor with whom you have a comfortable relationship as your body adjusts better when you are relaxed. Especially, when the neck needs to be adjusted, use a Chiropractor who has been well trained and not your friend or some other person who is self-trained by watching a YouTube video or some weekend course.
What you are referring to is an Activator. It can either be a manual tool or electric?. It is a non-evasive adjusting technique to treat subluxations of the spine and joints.
There are several devices that resemble a gun used in Chiropractic offices. One is called an Activator, another is called Arthrostim, there are also soft tissue devices called Hypervolt and TheraGun. These all help to release tension in the muscles and to move restricted joints of the spine.
