Can a crown cause a metallic taste in your mouth?

I am a 52 year old female. I wonder if a crown can cause a metallic taste in your mouth?

Hi,
There are instances that a crown could cause a metallic taste in the mouth. However, you would have to be seen in the office to determine what the cause of the taste is- it could be medical or dental related. Thank You
Yes, if the crown is made from porcelain fused to metal or just metal.
Not necessarily, but some patients mention that they have a metallic taste. First make sure you don’t have diabetes because that may cause metallic taste as well. If the crown is made out of base metal , you may want to change it to Zirconia crown.
