Dermatologist Questions Laser Hair Removal

Is laser hair removal safe for my face?

I have hair on my chin and upper lip. Usually I wax or tweeze it, but I don't want to do it any more. Should I be considering laser hair removal for my face?

Yes. Depending on the pigmentation of your skin it might require a special laser to avoid causing light spots on the skin. Laser can be a long term solution to remove hair. A board certified dermatologist is best equipped to make recommendations.
Absolutely consider it. We talk of laser hair reduction and it depends upon the color of the hairs; you need at least 4 treatments, but go to a board certified dermatologist to avoid possible problems.
Absolutely. As long as the hair is dark, it will help reduce the total amount.

Burns can cause scars which is alot harder to remove.
Laser hair removal can be done on various parts of the body, which includes face and chin. However, it is dependent on skin type and the color of the hair being treated. With this being said a consultation with a Dermatologist is always encouraged so you can be guided in the right direction. Lastly, it is usually discouraged to do any laser hair removal treatments in the summer months. Hope this helps!!
You can do laser hair removal on your face. I think it is safe. You may have to repeat the procedure several times to be successful.
