Recognized as a trusted pediatrician, Dr. Porter is the Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Porter Pediatrics, a pediatric practice located in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 2006, she has been committed to providing accessible, quality healthcare to children of all ages.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, whose mission is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

A 1990 graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Porter completed two years of general surgery residency within the Categorical Program at the University of Massachusetts from 1990-1992. She then went on to perform her residency in pediatrics at the Boston Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. She was subsequently hired on staff there, serving as the Director of Outpatient Clinical Services and Associate Chief of the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Tufts Medical Center by the end of her 10 years there.

In practice or over two decades, Dr. Porter teaches medical students and residents, having earned multiple teaching awards for her dedication to children. She is also the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2012, 2013), Patients’ Choice Award (2012, 2013, 2014), and On-Time Doctor Award (2014, 2016).

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults.
