Valley View Hospital was built in 1955 with funds raised by the residents of Glenwood Springs and the surrounding communities. Federal funds dedicated to building rural hospitals matched the funds raised. Since that time, Valley View commitment to the health of the community has been a cornerstone of the organization. What was once a 22,000 square foot, single story hospital with 35-beds is now a thriving regional medical center with a 21-acre medical campus with 78 beds, including an additional 400,000 square feet of advanced hospital and medical offices.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Dr. Whittie-Bradford went on to perform her residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
With over three decades of experience, she is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
