What alternative therapies have you tried?

I have not tried alternative therapy to treat the cancers I’ve had. I have used essential oils for relaxation and anxiety. The go-to oil is lavender. It works for relaxation, easing anxiety, and meditation. I have a synergy that I use for sleep. You should test to see if you are allergic, and they can stain clothing.

What results were you looking for and what was the outcome?

I put a couple of drops of lavender oil on my t-shirt as for me staining isn't a problem. Sometimes I use a defuser. I spray the sleep synergy, mixed with water on my pillow. It’s better than taking more medication. I have anti-anxiety medication from extreme anxiety.

How open is your medical team to your integration of alternative therapies?

Other than telling them that I use essential oils I haven't said much and was told they are ok as long as I follow directions.

What therapies are you interested in trying?

I use other therapies for arthritis. Some topical creams work better than others. I was getting 5% lidocaine patches prescriptions but they are expensive. I found OTC 4% lidocaine patches. When asked 3 doctors said the difference is 1%. They seem to work as well and the expense is much less.
