Dr. Chetan Gujrathi is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor, also known as an otolaryngologist, practicing in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Gujrathi specializes in diseases and disorders of the ear, nose and throat as well as other parts of the head and neck. Dr. Gujrathi has fellowship training and expertise in all forms of thyroid disorders, thyroid nodules and cancer, parathyroid disorders, salivary gland and parotid tumors. In addition, tertiary level expertise in pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck oncology and reconstruction and complex sinus disease. In addition, Dr. Gujrathi can address all other aspects of ENT. How do treat a severely stuffy nose?

Flonase/nasocort, + astelin + singular, Sudafed sparingly. Still an issue: get a CT Sudafed

My ear is plugged up?

Probably impacted wax, you’ll need to see your PCP or ENT to clean it. Baby oil might help. 1/2 vinegar might help

Ear pain and throat pain?

If it’s all one sided, someone needs to check it out to make sure there isn’t a problem like polyps, an unusual infection or a growth/tumor

I'm losing my hearing?

If it’s wax or skin, hydrogen peroxide or debrox might help. But, someone should look in your ear to make sure

Is it normal to have a sore throat after an endoscopy?

Only for 1-2 days max. It’s very rare that anything could be physically damaged. But, you could have gotten a slight inflammation, rarely infection

Is it normal for ears to hurt after flying?

If you don’t equalize pressure well, yes

Hard to say on a picture but this looks more viral like EBV or CMV

If you can breathe and speak well, there’s no concern. The NSAID is a good idea

As annoying as this is, someone just needs to inspect your mouth to ensure nothing else is going on. Otherwise I would just do salt water gargles

Which spray is best for blocked nose?

Afrin but only for 2-3 days, otherwise try a nasal steroid like Flonase
