It can take a couple of weeks to recover from pneumonia.

Can bronchitis cause shortness of breath?

Yes - bronchitis can cause shortness of breath and is a common cause of it.

Can pneumonia be fixed with medications?

Bacterial pneumonia is treated with antibiotics. These are typically very effective.

Is lung CT scan with dye safe?

In general, it is safe. There could be problems if you have an allergy or if you have kidney problems.

I would not go to the Emergency Room. The doctors won't know you. I would recommend discussing with your primary care doctor or a primary lung doctor.

My Dad has Parkinson & dimentia and has fluid in his lungs from pneumonia.

I would recommend following his wishes regarding life. Quality of life is more important than Quantity. Perhaps a focus on comfort is most important at this time.
