With the Covid epidemic surging wildly across the world and infectivity/death rates highest in the USA, MOM (aka POTUS) is busily exploring pardons with self and family first and foremost and friend General Flynn probably receiving one; he is also pulling us out of the Open Sky arrangement, withdrawing the 2 special aircraft, scrapping them and their expensive equipment, and basically letting Putin's Russia off the hook. Now the cry "the Russians are coming" can no longer be substantiated.

This particular act of treason (Rachel Maddow's reporting is substantiated by Air Force News) is in the face of a constitutional requirement that military treaties and alliances cannot be altered without congressional approval. He has also eliminated the funding source for new planes and/or equipment. It would seem that the only hope for the USA to avoid irreparable domestic and international damage is the existence of the deep state that former Trump ally and supporter Steve Bannon was and is trying to destroy (he is on trial for subversion and not likely to be pardonable).

One good medical outcome of the Pandemic is the more sophisticated use of telehealth. Another is the better information available to and from doctors, nurses, and other practitioners about viral transmission, vaccines, masks, and social distancing. Vaccination is not a panacea, storage and transmission remain problems. FDA approval is now not a political prize and returning to WHO, which gives us access to possible answers to genetic predisposition, B lymphocyte attack on the viral spike surface vs T cell attack on the same, why women's fewer T cells are more effective than men's more numerous T cells, and whether T cell acquired immunity may be disturbingly organ-specific and short-lived. We are also being better advised of the impact of coexisting conditions like diabetes, obesity, tuberculosis, hypertension, heart, and neurological conditions.
