Aside from infection risk, if you have received and tolerated a total of two blood cell transfusions, I do not anticipate an impact on your life expectancy.

Relative values can fluctuate, and so if your absolute monocyte count is within normal limits, I would not be concerned.

What is the right supplementation to give my 8 year old?

Yes, whatever equivalent of 60-65mg elemental iron twice daily would suffice. Iron can be very tough on the gut.

I am unsure, but I usually do not recommend trying to lose weight during chemotherapy. It is an excellent time to get in all the nutrition you can tolerate.
