I suggest he follow reflux precautions such as avoiding tight clothes around belly, not lying down at least 30 minutes after food intake. Avoid alcohol, tobacco, wine, and cheese. If he continues to experience symptoms of stomachache after 2 to 4 weeks with above measures, I suggest he get an EGD endoscopic evaluation with gastroenterologist to rule out peptic ulcers disease.
