I am sure she has some degree of immunocompromising, given her underlying MDS and whatever Vidaza affects her immune system. It would be nice to know if her neutrophil count is normal (neutrophils count our body against a bacterial infection). If her neutrophil count is normal, and if you are asymptomatic, then there’s no need for special consideration other than regular hygiene. If not, it is better to wear a regular mask around your mom.
