Multiple sclerosis is a debilitating disease that affects about 2.3 million people around the world. Many patients are required to take long-term medications to help slow down the progression of nerve damage that occurs with this disease. For a while now, exercise has also been found to improve not only symptoms but also the quality of life for patients suffering from multiple sclerosis. Recently it’s also been suggested that exercise may play a direct role in helping treat this incurable disease.
