Estrace Cream is a vaginal cream for the treatment of vulvar and vaginal atrophy. This product contains estradiol 0.1 milligram in 1 gram.

Your dosage is based on your medical condition and the way you will respond to treatment. Take this drug regularly to experience the most benefits. You should also use this drug at the same time each day.

This drug is to be applied to the skin only. Avoid using it in the face, groin, or underarms, or for diaper rash, unless told so by your doctor.

First, wash and dry your hand before applying. The area should be cleansed and dried. Avoid covering or wrapping the treated area. Wash your hands after use. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth or mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse with plenty of water.

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. Continue to use it as prescribed by your doctor or as stated on the package label.

Interactions

Estrace Cream may interact with medications such as:

  • Aromatase inhibitors such as anastrozole, exemestane or letrozole
  • Fulvestrant
  • Raloxifene
  • Tamoxifen
  • Toremifene

Side Effects

There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.

Watch out for signs of allergic reactions such as:

  • Rash
  • Itching
  • Swelling
