Flumadine

Flumadine is a drug used in the treatment and prevention of illness caused by various strains of influenza A virus. This drug is available as a tablet containing rimantadine hydrochloride 100 milligram and as syrup containing rimantadine hydrochloride 50 milligram in 5 milliliter.

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. Continue to use it as prescribed by your doctor or as stated on the package label.

Interactions

Flumadine may interact with medications such as flu vaccine inhaled through the nose. Tell your doctor about prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use with Flumadine.

Side Effects

There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.
