Rimso-50

1 What is Rimso-50?

Brand: Rimso-50

Generic: Dimethyl Sulfoxide

Purified solution of Rimso-50 is approved by US-FDA for use in the symptomatic treatment of a painful bladder condition, interstitial cystitis.

This prescription-only solution is delivered to the bladder using a catheter (tube) or syringe and is allowed to stay there for 15 minutes. Then, it is eliminated through urine.

Various claims have been made on the use of dimethyl sulfoxide for various conditions such as arthritis, ulcers in scleroderma, muscle sprains and strains, bruises, skin infections, burns, wounds, and mental disorders.

But none of them have produced reproducible or measurable benefits. Industry-grade or veterinary use DMSO preparations do not have sufficient purity for human use. So, they must be avoided in humans.
