Best Imaging for flank pain?

My wife has had a pain on her left side below her rib cage for a few months. She finds it difficult to sleep on that side because of the pain. It is localized to one spot and if you push on it she feels the pain. Her MD ordered an ultrasound which came back negative. CBC and CMP WNL. She saw a GI today who told her it was not gastrointestinal, so we are back to her PMD.

What would be the best imaging for the next step?
Any additional labs that should be drawn?
Thanks

It does sound like the pain is not of GI origin. CT scan is probably the next imaging to consider. Labs are not likely to help.
