Can I have dental crowns done while pregnant?

I am a 26 year old female. I want to know if you can have dental crowns done while pregnant?

Yes you can in your third trimester
There are no contra-indications for having crowns done during pregnancy. Having said that, please be advised that local anesthesia is needed. If several crowns are required, this will be time consuming. Some ladies cannot be in a dental chair for over one hour. It is important to discuss with your dentist about all this.
It is always best to do major dental restorative treatment such as porcelain crowns, veneers, smile makeover and full mouth reconstruction after pregnancy. In certain occasions, if the patient is in second trimester, patient can be seen if it is on an emergency basis.
