Can a UTI make it difficult to urinate?

I am a 23 year old male. I want to know if a UTI can make it difficult to urinate?

Yes, difficulty urinating can be a sign of a UTI. Other potential signs of a UTI include: pain or burning with urination, increased frequency of urination, or odor.
However, UTIs in males, especially young males, are less common (unless you have other medical problems involving the urinary tract), and there are other things which can cause difficulty urinating, so I would recommend talking to your doctor.
Yes. However, of more significance is concern over a young man having a UTI. This is very unusual, and should be evaluated by a physician.
Yes it can. An infection would usually produce other symptoms also, such as painful urination, passing urine often and maybe blood in the urine or fevers and chills. If you are worried you should see your doctor for a urine test. To find out more about the urinary system see my website

Yes. The bacteria can paralyze the bladder, which makes it more difficult to urinate. Once the bacteria is cleared, it will go back to normal.
