No it should not.

In general, a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), a bladder infection, or, even the more serious, Pyelonephritis will not cause false positive or false negative results for a urinary pregnancy tests. However, if you don't trust the urine results, no matter the reason, you should follow up with a more sensitive and specific blood test.

So a serious urinary tract infections (with high levels of WBC, RBC and nitrite) can occasionally cause a false POSITIVE pregnancy test result-- meaning the test may result positive but one may not be actually pregnant. It may be reasonable to get the UTI diagnosed and treated (if present) and then repeat the test or get in touch with your Gynecologist for further recommendations. Hope this helps! Ravish Shah..
