There can be many causes for bloating. Some as simple as poor diet, gut inflammation, lack of appropriate enzymes or allergies. It is necessary to have a complete health assessment for the acupuncturist to determine the cause and provide you the best options for resolving this issue.
A significant improvement was seen with acupuncture at the first treatment only for bloating although there was a significant decrease in pre-treatment bloating between the first and third treatment. Acupuncture improved pain with most treatments but the improvement was not sustained.Acupuncture was less effective for the symptoms of pain or bloating. Pain scores were significantly improved during acupuncture in the mild nausea group. No significant improvement was seen in the severe nausea group although the trend was towards improvement. Although bloating improved during the first acupuncture treatment in the mild nausea group, no significant improvement was seen in the severe nausea group.

Yes. Acupuncture is used to address a variety of conditions, including digestive issues, including relief from bloating symptoms. Its important to note that individual responses to acupuncture can vary, and what works for one person may not work for another. If youre considering acupuncture for bloating, its advisable to consult with a licensed acupuncturist who can assess your particular situation and provide guidance tailored to your needs.
Yes
We will exam 1st. Then provide dry needling 1st. Patients will find instant results in general.
Depending on patients’ medical histories and conditions, each patient will have different responses. Patients will have to follow up in 3-7days depending on severity.
Patients will be examined again on how much difference they have experienced since the initial acupuncture treatment.
Then we can give patients a plan for symptomatology.
If we find limitations in improvements, we will apply different plans as a holistic approach.
Acupuncture with herbs, and sometimes massage, can help relieve your bloating.

Usually, yes.
Acupuncture won't hurt (except your wallet). Best to treat underlying cause: see your Gastroenterologist, as the the list of potential causes is long and each are treated differently.
Yes, acupuncture can reduce bloating, but I'd suggest getting to root cause as well. Might be due to leaky gut, food sensitivities, overgrowth of bacteria or yeast in the gut, maldigestion/ malabsorption. Typically a Functional Medicine Doctor will run a comprehensive stool analysis and Food Antibody test to determine underlying causes.,
Yes, but your practitioner will probably also look at your diet. One of the main causes of bloating in my experience is sensitivity to gluten.
Usually, yes, acupuncture can help relieve bloating.
There is no good evidence to my knowledge that acupuncture helps bloating, though it may help some patients with irritable bowel simply by inducing relaxation of the mind
