Can degenerative arthritis in the knees, hips, and lower back cause degenerative arthritis in the shoulders and neck?

I want to know can degenerative arthritis in the knees, hips, and lower back cause degenerative arthritis in the shoulders and neck?

Unlikely
It most certainly can affect these areas as well but seeing a Rheumatologist may help determine what type you have. Degenerative arthritis is the most common type but there are others.

Neck is one of the common joints to have osteoarthritis, shoulders- less likely since it is not a weight bearing joint like knees and hips. A prior surgery and trauma in any joint can result in osteoarthritis in the long run.

Thanks for your question. You can have degenerative arthritis in all the mentioned locations but having degenerative arthritis in one place does not cause it in another place.
