I had a concussion yesterday. Can you treat a concussion on your own?

The first thing I want to ask is what makes you think you have a concussion? And second if you think you have a concussion why would you not go and be treated for the concussion?
There isn't a concussion test that can provide a diagnosis at home. If you are having any symptoms like headache, difficulty concentrating, a dazed feeling for less than a minute this would be grade 1, or a longer period of feeling dazed, possibly accompanied by dizziness, confusion, amnesia, ringing in the ears and irritability this is grade 2, or even more loss of consciousness for less than a minute which is grade 3. Any of these should be treated by a physician. After you are seen by a physician usually the concussion can be treated at home depending on the severity of the concussion at least for the first three weeks. If the concussion lasts longer than that more targeted concussion therapy might be needed. Concussions that go untreated can possibly lead to long-term complications. Possible complications of a concussion include chronic headaches, memory problems, vertigo, and post-concussion syndrome. The post-concussion syndrome consists of headaches, dizziness, mood swings, and brain fog. This can continue for months or even years after a concussion. Don't take the chance with your brain, your mind, or your health. If you think you have a concussion, get checked and get treated.
