“Dengue fever blood problems”
Son of my girlfriend who is 7 yrs old was diagnosed with Dengue fever. His platelets went down to 70 and they admitted him to the hospital. Later with NO transfusion his platelets started to improve and when he had like 80 they released him. About 5 days later he got another CBC this time platelets are 688. My girlfriend was told everything was fine. My question is if it is normal to go up this much almost instantly without any medicine.

After an infection sometimes the platelet count will go up as a reactive process to the infection. An increase in platelets can be a sign of recovery.
